Arguineguin
Arguineguín is a beautiful small town in the south coast of the island. It was always best known for being fisherman´s home and not a touristic resort. Anyway, Arguineguín is growing every year and it is friendly to every tourist. You can have a fantastic day in one of two beaches in Arguineguín, visit a market which is there every Tuesday, have a lunch or dinner in one of many good quality local restaurants or take a ferry trip to other ports in South.
Even though Arguineguín is not as popular as some other resorts in South of Gran Canaria, but staying here is a great option for those who look tranquility and peace together with urban amenities. Don´t be surprised if you often hear Scandinavian languages – Arguineguín is most popular between Scandinavian nationalities, especially Norwegians. There is a Norwegian Church in town, a school nearby, Norwegian doctor and even grocery shops selling typical products.
