TAXES FEES AND OTHER COSTS
There are a number of considerations:
- The notary: required for document preparation, witnessing, and submission.
- The registration of a new owner's fee.
- Document tax of 0.75%
- A transfer tax of 7.0% of the new property's value (if you are buying new).
- A transfer tax of 6.5% for a re-sale property.
- Attorney fee
- When it's all said and done, expect to pay about 8.0% to 10.0% of the purchase price in added costs.
